Like the general population I saw "The Dark Knight." I love that movie. It's probably one of my favorite movies of 2008 aside from "Slumdog Millionaire," "Revolutionary Road" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
It's a travesty "The Dark Knight" did not get nominated for the best picture Oscar. Take away the comic book nuances and you've got a smartly crafted crime story about a whack job and the vigilante trying to stop him. It's like how the academy was scared to nominate "Fight Club" for any major awards.
This movie should be a best picture contender in that it was something that was smartly pieced together and something that the public truly loved and enjoyed. That's all I feel like ranting about. If I continue on I wont stop about why "The Dark Knight" should be nominated and all the reasons I love the movie (and there are a lot of them).

A travesty it is not. First off, it wasn't as good as everyone has since claimed it to be. It was way predictable and Christian Bale's voice...what a tool! I'm harsh, I know. And there is no sense jumping on the too little too late bandwagon for Heath. Again, harsh, but get on with things and strive to improve the art, people! So a lot of people around the country saw it. A lot of people also watch NASCAR. Sport worthy of the Olympics? (insert cynical answer here, I'm finished for now)
