I'm heading back to San Diego (aka the Whale's Vagina) this weekend to see Mr. Spicy Meat-a-Ball himself and the Whale's Vagina herself. We will have a lot of fun and we will get really drunk.
And we'll probably make some BLD's.
UPDATE - Thought I'd put up a pic of Ashley since I'm stoked to see her also. It's not as entertaining as the one of Dave and I.
I've been slacking. I know.
I've been fairly busy with work the past week and a half and over this past weekend I was busy golfing, sleeping strange hours or helping Corey and Tyne move.
The girl I went on a date with a couple weeks ago, Amy, beat me at my own game and called things off before I got a chance to. I was really only interested in her for hooking up purposes and she probably caught on to that. I'm not known for my subtlety.
Dave apparently has a miss spicy meat-a-ball that he's been hanging with. Ashley has stopped talking to Nick allegedly which has been great news since he was a giant douche and on the verge of making her a soulless loser.
Finally had my development meeting with Bridget and I think we came up with some good ideas and she had good insights into some of my projects. She didn't offer up much on her work (I'm convinced she doesn't have anything quality and just trying to latch on to my greatness).
Pete, Jon, Corey and I are looking into golfing this weekend. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can get out and play a real round.
I will try and come up with some posts soon that are more intriguing and maybe a touch on the controversial side. I really need to stir the pot some, it's been awhile.
Oh, and I need to get smashed and make a BLD. Badly.
Jon and Pete officially kick ass. They went above and beyond in a way I never expected them to for my birthday. They got me a poster for the movie "Heat" (arguably my favorite movie of all time) in a really nice frame and it was autographed by MICHAEL MANN!
The autograph says "Happy Birthday George!! - Michael Mann" I got two (!!) exclamation points! I had a Mr. Spicy Meat-a-ball size shit-eating grin on my face all night (Dave always walks around with a giant, shit-eating grin on his face. Probably because he considers eating shit a delicacy).
Michael Mann is the director of the movie and one of my favorite directors if not the top favorite. From what Jon and Pete told me it was quite an adventure to get the poster signed. For them doing that I will probably now do anything they ask of me short of certain illegal activities (not all though).
I'll get a pic of the autograph up soon. It's a thing of beauty.
p.s. Happy Birthday Michael Mann!! (it's his b-day today and just thought I'd return the favor)
I've begun my running again in full force. I'm back on a normal schedule and working to get my times back down (they aren't very good. Actually, for me, they're deplorable). I know the pace I can run at and I'm not there at the moment.
I've already got my runner's high back and can't wait to get out and rip through another 3 mile run tonight. My goal is to break 22:40 (that's not a good time, I know, but I'm out of shape). I'm looking forward to getting my times back down to 18 minutes/3 miles.
I'm trying to find a good track around my house so I can also run some 400's and 800's. Those'll be crucial for me building up my endurance and working on my breathing. I didn't do enough of those kinds of runs when I was training in the summer for the San Diego half.
I'm going to enlist the help of my spicy meat-a-ball expert, Dave; old roommate Jake (they've been running more of these lately and in really good times, too) and a couple other friends in LA who I'll be running the race with to give me tips as well as motivation.
Mr. Spicy Meat-a-Ball might be joining me in the OC Half. Which one do you think he is (if you already know, say which one with a clever zinger about his Italian heritage)?
