I'm highly aware my blogging has been less than spectacular as of late. I (shockingly to most people) just don't have anything that I feel the urge to blog about going on in my life.
Yes, I'm still taking a motorcycle safety class in a week and a half. I'm still searching for a bike to purchase as well but haven't bought anything because I'm trying to be fiscally conservative (damn economy).
I'm still training for the half-marathon which is a little over 5 weeks away (I will need to step up my running though immediately).
My writing is coming along slowly but surely. I'm trying to devote more of my energy to my job and becoming more proficient at it because it's been a little rocky as of late.
I'm getting close to beating all the Tiger challenges in Tiger Woods '09 for Playstation 3. That's taking a lot of energy and dedication.

Going the Distance!
I've begun my running again in full force. I'm back on a normal schedule and working to get my times back down (they aren't very good. Actually, for me, they're deplorable). I know the pace I can run at and I'm not there at the moment.
I've already got my runner's high back and can't wait to get out and rip through another 3 mile run tonight. My goal is to break 22:40 (that's not a good time, I know, but I'm out of shape). I'm looking forward to getting my times back down to 18 minutes/3 miles.
I'm trying to find a good track around my house so I can also run some 400's and 800's. Those'll be crucial for me building up my endurance and working on my breathing. I didn't do enough of those kinds of runs when I was training in the summer for the San Diego half.
I'm going to enlist the help of my spicy meat-a-ball expert, Dave; old roommate Jake (they've been running more of these lately and in really good times, too) and a couple other friends in LA who I'll be running the race with to give me tips as well as motivation.
Mr. Spicy Meat-a-Ball might be joining me in the OC Half. Which one do you think he is (if you already know, say which one with a clever zinger about his Italian heritage)?
